We are delighted to invite you in joining us at the 5-day mindfulness and Insight Dialogue Meditation retreat led by Ms Gen Heng and Jessica Mui. This is wonderful opportunity to spend the five days of Mid-autumn Festival to deepen your mindfulness meditation practice and cultivate wisdom with good spiritual friends.
Mindfulness is a gentle awareness of our present moment body and mind states. With the skilful cultivation of mindfulness, it gives us inner peace and the wisdom of understanding oneself. When the mind becomes calm and tranquil, new insights into one's own nature may arise to form new perspecitves and behavior changes. What is insight? What are the supporting conditions for it to arise ?
This retreat is suitable for beginners, as well as experienced meditators. The format will be a combination of sitting and walking meditation sessions throughout the day, as well as some Insight Dialogue practice. Buddhism meditation theory and practice talks will be shared in the evening. Practice interviews will be conducted as well.
Participants will be invited to observe Noble Silence and be technology-free during the retreat period (mobile devices will be safely stored with the organisers). Vegetarian breakfast and lunch will be served. Evening meal will be quite light.
Please ensure you have read the Fa Hong Monastery Code Of Conduct guidelines before applying for this event.
